About the product.

The HMT Gautam is a hand-wound mechanical from Hindustan Machine Tools — the Bangalore factory that made watches under Citizen licence from the 1960s until it finally closed in 2016. The Gautam sits squarely in HMT's everyday range: simple dial, honest steel case, and a 17-jewel movement built to keep time for decades with a daily wind. These are the watches Indian collectors buy first and end up keeping.
