About the product.
The Nikon F2 is the last all-mechanical professional SLR Nikon ever built, and by broad agreement the finest. Made from 1971 to 1980, it runs entirely without batteries: titanium shutter curtains, speeds from 1s to 1/2000s plus Bulb and Time, a self-timer that doubles as a long-exposure timer to ten seconds, and an engineering standard that has kept these working for half a century.
This one wears the DE-1 eye-level finder — the plain, unmetered prism. It gives the F2 its slimmest, cleanest profile and shows you nothing but the image: no needle, no LEDs, no numbers. You meter with a handheld meter, a phone app, or experience, and for a lot of photographers that is exactly the appeal. Most F2s left the factory with a Photomic head instead, so the DE-1 is the less common choice and collector interest has followed. Paired here with the Nikkor-S.C Auto 50mm f/1.4, seven elements of multicoated glass, and recently CLA'd — cleaned, lubricated and adjusted.

Condition
- Cosmetic: Body in excellent+ condition with very little sign of age and use. The DE-1 finder has a small dent on the front — very minor, with no effect on viewing. Lens serviced and cleaned recently, clean and free of fungus, haze or scratches.
- Functional: Recently CLA'd and fully functional. Lens working well with smooth rings.
