The Nikon F80 (known as N80 in North America) is a mid-range 35mm SLR from Nikon's late-1990s/early-2000s lineup, sitting below the F100 but above entry-level bodies like the F55/F65. It borrowed autofocus and metering technology derived from Nikon's professional F5, packaged into a lighter polycarbonate body aimed at advanced amateurs.
It remains popular with film shooters today because it accepts modern Nikon AF and AF-S lenses, offers reliable matrix metering, and provides a more automated, modern shooting experience than older manual-focus Nikon bodies while still being compact and affordable.
