The Olympus mju II (Stylus Epic in the US) is a compact point-and-shoot from the mid-1990s, widely regarded as one of the sharpest small 35mm compacts ever made because of its 35mm f/2.8 lens. It became a favorite among street and documentary photographers for its weather-sealed clamshell design, fast autofocus, and pocketability without sacrificing image quality.
Its reputation has only grown in the film revival era, with clean examples commanding high resale prices. The mju II sits at the top of Olympus's mju/Stylus line, above cheaper variants with slower lenses, and is often cited alongside cameras like the Contax T2 as a benchmark compact.
