About the product.
The Olympus Stylus Epic Zoom 80 (sold outside the US as the mju-II Zoom 80) belongs to Olympus's long-running Stylus/mju weatherproof compact series. It is an autofocus 35mm point-and-shoot camera released by Olympus in 1999, and has the shortest zoom range of any Stylus Epic Zoom model but features the same weather-sealing and basic features as other models.
It sits a step above the fixed-lens Stylus Epic in versatility, trading some wide-aperture low-light performance for the convenience of a short zoom, while keeping the clamshell lens cover and splash-resistant body that made the series popular as a reliable everyday carry camera for film shooters.
