It includes a high speed Super Sonic wave Motor (SSM) for fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus, alongside internal focusing and two direct manual focus modes. Its optical design uses 11 elements in 10 groups, including three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements, and it was the first G Lens from Sony to use an advanced new coating process for improved clarity.
