Home/Catalogue/All Available Products/Nikon F2 AS (meter not working)

About the product.

Got this camera mid-2026, along with the F3. This has been film tested by me over the past 2 months. This camera is fitted with a Photomic AS (DP-12) Viewfinder prism, whose fungal infection, but that has been cleaned, but the internal meter is dead and has been deemed unserviable. The camera has been serviced by Mr. Rana Patra in Kolkata. Mr. Patra has assured me that the body will work with any metered viewfinder if fitted. The camera body is in great shape, everything is original and functional. Everthing runs smooth and all buttons work, including DOP, mirror lockup, self timer, and shutter lock. Although I personally find such manual camera experience a bit boring, but this will fall right in the wheel house for anyone looking for a Nikon sunny16 experience. The camera will come with a black camera case, a classic strap and a compatible and fully working SB-2 flash. A few things to Note - a. The body does show minor signs of corrosion marks when looking up close. b. The viewfinder release button on the back of the camera is hard to use, and needs a little force. c. The viewfinder prism is has stripped out screwhead, which will make any attempt at repairing the meter or replacing the internal prism, extremely difficult.
